Data Collection Form
American Banker and Bank Technology News, SourceMedia`s renowned publications for banking and financial services professionals, and IDC Financial Insights will release the FinTech 100 2009 rankings on October 29, 2009. Nominations and survey data will be collected by IDC Financial Insights from June 22 to July 15. To submit your company information, visit the data collection form.
2009 represents the sixth year that we will formally recognized the leading 100 global technology and service providers to the financial services industry. The ranking is categorized and evaluated based on CY08 year-end revenues and the percentage of revenues attributed to financial services. The special report contains detailed statistics on suppliers of hardware, software and services to the financial services industry, paired with expert analysis and commentary on the industry. Several categories of companies are ranked each year:
FinTech 100 – includes vendors that derive more than one-third of their revenue from the financial services industry.
FinTech 25 – includes enterprise companies in financial services who are horizontal technology firms and sell products and provide support services across multiple industries but derive less than one-third of their revenues from this vertical.
Revenue from network, telecommunications, electronic exchanges, and data services providers are not counted as these business lines are not application technologies essential to running financial companies. However, companies that might have been excluded such as market data providers or credit bureaus but had a significant component of revenue tied to software, hardware, or services will be counted in these rankings, but only for that portion of their revenue.
Thank you for taking the time to apply for consideration in the FinTech 100 for 2009. If you have additional questions on the rankings, please contact Dana Wiklund at dwiklund@financial-insights.com or phone 508-988-7812.
