Bernardo was born in Salerno, Italy. He attended the Polytechnic School of Turin, Italy and graduated in MSEE at the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. He worked for Alitalia Airlines and Sigma Plus in Rome, Italy and with Galileo International and Airplus in UK. He joined General Electric International in 1997 and had assignments in Rome, Italy and Leeds, UK with GE Global Consumer Finance as Program Manager for the implementation of a Common Receivable System. In February 2002, he was named to his present position.
GE Consumer Finance is one of the 11 Businesses reporting to GE. It is active in Consumer Credit. It has roughly 100mm of customers. It is active in 38 countries around the world and it is the fifth largest Consumer Credit company in the world.
Bernardo is married to Lucia and they have three children ages 22 and 18. He enjoys spending his time with his family, skiing and traveling.
